Josh's Tribute
Staff Sergeant, Joshua J. Hargrove
To me Josh has been the voice of reason in an unreasonable world. He's been realistic when nothing seemed real. I adopted Josh as my brother 11 years ago. Other then Rob, he's my best friend. He's always had an ear to listen, and is never judgmental. Even though his advice isn't always the best, it's usually the same advice I'd give him. Josh knows there's a very clear line between right and wrong and does his best to stay in the right no matter what situation, no matter what the cost. He has strong convictions but doesn't push others to agree. I don't know how many times this man has dragged me in from a window ledge (so to speak), calling me from across this great continent, even from Japan because he, "had a bad feeling". More often then not his bad feeling proved true. Like Rob, he doesn't keep score or expect anything in return. "My reward will come when God says it's time".
Josh is one of the smartest people that I know, he's got a way of showcasing his intellect without making others feel dumb. Which is why he's a great teacher. When I see things as "difficult" or even "impossible", Josh patiently explains a simpler way, even if it takes me forever to understand it. When I'm lost he hands me an atlas with markers along the 'scenic route' and tells me to call him when I get wherever I'm going. I've watched Josh grow from a shy boy to a married man in the 13 years that I've known him. I'm proud to call him my brother, and my friend. And I'm forever thankful to know that our country counts on people like him. For all he's done for our country and myself, I am grateful. Thanks Bro.
A bit of history for you.

"Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill that we shall pay any price, bear any burdon, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and success of freedom."
