What's Goin' On?!?

What's Happenin'!?!

Hello all!

We all had a good time down south and boy is it nice to be home! Our week in the desert resulted in an amazing fireworks show. I have to admit, I had underestimated the amount of work and time that goes into one of Rob's shows but once again, he knocked my socks off!!! My only job was to provide transportation to and from the sight for he and his crew so every time I saw the sight there was more and more done. He's posted part of the show on U-tube. This is the link:

Feel free to shair it. The show was over 20 minutes long but the online video is around 9 minutes. He says the show was 'weak' but I think it was absolutely breath taking. That could have something to do with the fact that he changed a few things to liven it up.We visited the Avi resort for almost 2 days, nice time of rest before we took off to the San Fransisco area. It was terrific to see the ocean and feel a cool wind. The tempature in 29 Palms was in the 115 degree range in comparison to 75 degrees on the bay. Thank you Mike and Cindi for the warm welcom and showing Katie a great time. The trip home took longer then we'd expected but the long route was full of wonderful scenery. Sadly a short distance into the mountains I felt sick and took some motion sickness medication which knocked me out. I slept off and on most of the rest of the trip, it's all a bit hazy for me. So I wasn't able to take many photos of any of that beauty! I will see if maybe Katie got some shots of it though!

It looks like we will be visiting Mcagcc again next year to blow more stuff up! Nothing is set in stone yet. But the Marines were very pleased with our pyro show. The on base fire department requested that Rob set at least some part of the desert on fire next year so they would have something, to do. The police who helped me greatly in getting the guys to and from the show on the 4th (dispite the fact that all of the roads were barricaded) told us that it was the best show they'd ever seen.

I'm greatful to have been a part of it, even if I was only a small part. Hey, the guys could not have gotten there every day without myself and Tristan!

Since we've returned home, Rob and I celebrated our anniversary and his birthday this past Saturday. My parents joined us Sunday providing dinner and desert and then they took off with Katie for 2 weeks! Thanks to them for a great little get together and for just being so terrific!

Today for my birthday, Rob's mom is going to hang out with Tristan for a few hours while we go to the movies and spend time together.

Introducing Raine, whom is sitting on Katie's lap. Raine is the newest member of the family, she joined us in November 2008. A beautiful addition, congrats Ashley and Mike!
